About
Hi, I am Osama Naeem. I spend my free time, learning Swift and making iOS apps. I started learning Swift back in early 2017.
I spent the the whole year of 2017 working on basic projects just to get the ball rolling. By the end of 2017, I decided to aim for World Wide Developer Conference 2018 scholarship. So in March of 2018, I applied for the scholarship by creating a Swift Playground. You can find it here on my github.
My playground was accepted and I went to San Jose, California to attend the conference in June 2018. The conference just further enhanced my passion of creating beautiful apps.
After returning from the conference, I worked on a simple to-do app called NexTasks, with recurrent list functionality. You can download the app for free on the App Store.
In summer of 2019 (May - August 2019), I did a remote internship at iOS App Templates. I worked with professional Swift code base and created a Social Network app from scratch. (Check out this app on App Store and the template is available here). I designed and implemented backend architecture and integrated Firebase as well. Furthermore, I worked with UIKit to design the newsfeed, implemented dynamic cell sizing, designed and implemented Instagram like stories feature - (composing and previewing Stories) and more. I also worked with SwiftUI and created an app from scratch using this framework.
This year I will be exploring many more Swift frameworks and experimenting with them. I will be creating mini projects that I will talk about here on this blog and upload them to my github as well.
Apart from coding, I love to travel and do photography. Make sure to check my Instagram for that :)
